Promoters - How do you locate promoters (Jun/09/2010 )

Hi all, I'm looking for a promoter for MYH9 and am having a hard time doing so. Does anyone know of any promoter prediction software, or can help me by explaining what I'm looking for? Thanks so much.

Here you can find promoters for human and mice genes. In the link you have already the MYH9 promoter

Some of the promoters are identified empirically, and with others they just assume a given location from -1000 to +1000 from the transcription start site
