p53 responsive elements - how to search (Jun/01/2010 )

Hi,

Is there a database that can check if my gene of interest contains any ( out of teh several) p53 responsive elements in its genomic structure?

Thanks

Hi,

I've not tried the service as much I would like to, but here's the website for TRANSFAC (http://www.gene-regulation.com/pub/databases.html). There are the Public vs the Professional version. The latter need subscription (aka payment) while the former is a free version with limitation.

To register for Public version, you will need an institutional (non-profit or academic) email address. Email such as hotmail, gmail, yahoo etc will not be accepted.

I guess there are other databases too. Probably you can google and find out more.

Cheers,
