Primary Ab production - (May/17/2010 )

Hi, every one. I intend to detect antigens that adsorbed onto different surfaces by indirect competitive format. My inquiry is the arise a primary Ab in the Lab is necessary to achieve my work or I can use a commercial one. My work is a part from PhD project.
Any comments or recommendations will be helpful.
Best thanks in advance

I am not certain of your question. Do you wish to develop a competative immunoassay using an antibody that you purchase from a commercial source?

Hi
No, just using ELISA to detect an allergic protein (ovomucoid) which was spiked onto different surfaces, so the primary Ab what I need in this the study, it's necessary to purify ovomucoid protein and then preducing Ab by my self in the Lab or I can buy a primary Ab as kits.
which one is correct ?

So many thanks

you can look to see if a kit or primary antibody is available. if not then you will have to make it yourself.

you can look for the antibody with the antibody search engine.
