dsRNA nuclease - (Apr/27/2010 )

Hi everyone,

Can anyone reccommend a dsRNA nuclease? I have been doing lots of searching and I havent come across any commercially available ribonucleases for dsRNA (yet) - just wondering if anyone has used one in their work

Do you need to have complete digestion of the dsRNA (i.e., down to mononucleotides)? If not, E. coli RNase III will get down to fragments less than 15 bp.

Well in the experiment I am trying to design, I am actually isolating the dsRNA, but in optimising the protocol I want to make sure that I do actually have only the dsRNA - so my thinking is if I can find a nuclease to digest away the dsRNA than I should be left with nothing..... I guess ideally I would like to digest down to mononucleotides, but thank you for your suggestion - I will certainly add it to my list and investigate further
