Antibody for Fusion Protein - Antibody/ies against fusion protein (Apr/23/2010 )

Hi everyone, it may well be obvious to someone, but, when I want to target fusion proteins, do I need to search for TWO antibodies against both parts of the fusion?

For example, I have wt of protein X and Y, and I have one copy of fusion between them X`-Y`. How can I validate the quantity of both wt and fusion form?

Finally, I want to use commercially available antibodies and don`t want to raise my own.

Thanks for any advice.

what immunological method will be used, preferentially ELISA or immunoblot?; you need two antibodies for semi-quantification; more precise is MS/MS

I want to do Western blot, should be most suitable.

MS/MS? What do you mean? Mass spectometry?
