how to design primer for my n-terminal sequence - hot to design primer for my protein (Apr/10/2010 )

dear all,

i have n-terminal sequence of my protein but i dnt know how to get m-rna sequence and how to design primer for my gene.can any one help me out.

It's easy...NCBI must have the coding region of your protein of interest. try to find cDNA sequence of your protein in there. Then there is a blue hyperlink in the middle of the page called CDs....click on it then it'll lead you to the coding region. It states where the ATG is, where the stop codon is etc. ...n-terminal is from the start until the middle of the coding region sequence usually if I'm not mistaken. It also gives you the protein sequence just above the coding region. compare with your own protein to confirm
