fluorescence interference - (Mar/29/2010 )

I am trying to check if one of my compounds which fluoresces interferes with the fluorescence of a compound l plan to use as a probe.
any ideas on the best way to do this

check the emission wavelength curves and see if they overlap. if not then they will not significantly interfere with each other.

if there is some overlap then you may be able to use the extremes (wavelengths) without significant interference.
