cytokine dilution for treatment - (Mar/22/2010 )

I have 1ug/ml of 20ul of IFN-gamma, and I need to prepare 1000ul (1ml) with concentration of 20ng/ml. I will be administering this solution 100ul by 100ul, so every 100ul should contain 20ng/ml. Could someone help me out with the calculations to get 20ng/ml every 100ul? I need to prepare a total of 1000ul.

My initial calculations were add 20ul of the IFN stock into 980ul PBS to get 1000ul of 20ng/ml. Is this correct? Would the concentration change if I only take 100ul from it for administration? Would appreciate the help, thanks.

Your proposed calculation is correct, you will inject 100 ul of 20ng/ml (or inject a total 2ng).
