Coverslip orientation - (Mar/18/2010 )

Hi eveyone,

I'm using coverselips to culture primary culture of bone marrow cells and then stain them. My problem is that there are not really easy to handle and it happens sometimes (quite often) that I don't know anymore on what side of the coverslip my cells are and I don't know how to figure it out in these cases. I've thougt about marking a side with an indelible marker but I'm afraid that will be toxic for my cells in the media.
Does anyone have tips for me??

Thanks a lot

Can you mark the bottom before you put the coverslip in the well? What about a wax pencil, or a drop of paraffin?
