Relative real time RT PCR - (Mar/03/2010 )

Dear all
Actually, I'm not expert in real time PCR, and want to know the role of standard curve in relative real time RT-PCR.
Thanks and best regards

The main purpose of a standard curve in real time PCR is to determine if your assay is working as it should. If your standard curve does not give you an r2 >0.99 and an efficiency between 90 and 110%, then there is something wrong with your assay and you should find a way to make it better or re-design it.
