T7 transcription - (Feb/28/2010 )

I have a DNA sequence I am making RNA from. The sequence has an T7 promoter, then then another 60 or so nucleotides.
However, I cannot figure out which strand is transcribed and what the RNA product will be, having searched multiple web sites
eg

ATG TAA TAC GAC TCA CTA TAG GGA GGG CCT GAG GTA GTG CGC GTT GTA

What would be the RNA sequence I ended with?

The consensus T7 promoter sequence is 5’ TAATACGACTCACTATA GGGAGA, and the first G of the GGGAGA sequence is the first base in the RNA transcript. Your RNA transcript is G GGA GGG CCU GAG GUA GUG CGC GUU GUA.
