cannot locate a database for blast when using beacon designer - (Jan/27/2010 )

hi, all. I am now using a becon designer v7.51 to design primers for real time pcr. But after I choose the "desktop blast" and then "browse" to locate my database for blast, I cannot find any data files on display even they do be there!

Can anyone help?

This usually means that the program is looking for a filename with a particular extension, and not finding it.

Where did you get the local database from? How did you install it? You say that the database files are there -- what are their names? Are they in the directory the program is looking for them in? What operating system are you using (mac, windows, linux)?
