Kir K+ channels - pre or post synaptic? - Where are they located? (Jan/21/2010 )

Hi,

Was just reading up on Kir potassium ion channels. They have the "unusual" charachteristic that they are responsible for the uptake of K+ ions rather than the excretion.

But in which part of the synapse are they located? I figured in the pre-synapse, but I´m not completly convinced...

They're postsynaptic.
