differential cell counting in mixed cultures - (Jan/07/2010 )

hello, i will be culturing neurons and macrophages together in a mixed culture. does anyone know of any methods for counting one cell type alone?

If you're counting manually, you should probably be able to differentiate the two populations by morphology. If you want to automate the process, you could use FACS with antibodies specific for the populations.
