reverse transcriptase and cDNA - (Dec/23/2009 )

Hi,

If you use reverse transcriptase kit (from roche or biorad) on RNA, you only get "single strand" cDNA?
The second strand, you only get, when by applying qPCR on the "single strand" cDNA, sample, isn't it?
So when i want to measure cDNA on the nanodrop, i have to click on "ssDNA"?

some kits offer double strand DNA synthesis from RNA.. check to make sure yours make only the complementary strand.
Assuming your kit is ss cDNA, what you are saying is right.
