Inhibitor Concentrations - (Dec/08/2009 )

Hello, I am testing out an inhibitor in cell culture. How many different concentrations of this inhibitor should I use?
Also, what are the statistics involved in determining if an inhibitor is effective in a dose dependent manner?

you can find some of the information at these webpages:

how much should i use?

and here:

download the inhibitor sourcebook from here
look down on the page at "product guides available by download only"

these are pages at the emd (calbiochem) website.

Depending on the IC50 of the inhibitor. I used to start with 1uM and go all the way down to 10^-12uM. PRISM is really good software to build the dose response curves and anything related with pharmacological assays.
