Tris Buffer for PCR reaction - why? (Dec/03/2009 )

Hi,
Most of PCR buffers contain Tris. pH of Tris is highly dependent on the temperature. In the thermal cycles there're huge temperature variations and hence pH variations. Then why Tris is the choice for PCR buffers if it does not effectively control the pH in PCR?

But the variation in the pH is still under the optimum required for the polymerase activity and other steps!!!
Also tris is the simplest of all buffers and better buffering and may be buffers like phosphate, citrate etc interfere with the reaction and the components!!!
I cud think of these.. they may be many more!!!
