Antibody internalization - (Nov/25/2009 )

Hi everybody,

when a fluorescence-labelled antibody bound on the cell surface is internalized inside the cell, can the emission light shift the wavelenght spectrum? Is there any publication about helping me in understanding this fact?

Thank you very much in advance

if you know how long internalization takes to occur, it may be that you can do your FC without a problem. we work with antibodies that internalize in my lab and you can easily see the shift; it takes a few hours for internalization and the FC data is counted before the Ab is inside.

what are the internalization kinetics for your Ab?
