if a commercial kit is available for ur protein of interest it will be just a matter of 2 hours... and any ways doing two sds page and blotting one and then detecting using antibody will consume a day!!!!

think abt it... the elisa kits are sumwhere abt 30-40000 bucks INR... so convert that anywere u are!!!

yeah, but the matter is the protein has been newly discovered by our lab so I don't think a commercial kit is available. I've never done Elisa or WB before, but I suppose it would take time to find suitable antibodies.
Anyway, I talked to my sup and he told me to quantify indirectly based on the observable effect that our proteins cause on the target cell instead.
