rna from plasmid - (Nov/16/2009 )

hello everyone,

i am still new in this field and i would like to ask from which link or reference materials can i know the procedure and concept of synthesizing biotinylated rna from plasmid with the gene of interest into insert to the plasmid.

thank you so much.

The plasmid you use must have a T7 or SP6 or T3 RNA polymerase recognition site. So you can use one of these RNA polymerase to synthesis the RNA of your interested gene in vitro. Using the Biotin-labled UTP instead of UTP in the transcription reaction.
A lot of companies have kit for the in vitro transcription of biotinated RNA. The url listed below is just obtained by a google search.
