could humic acid dissolve in 70% alcohol - (Sep/29/2009 )

I'm extracting DAN from soil samples, but it is really difficult because of the existence of humic acids.

And I wonder whether the humic acids could dissolve in 70% cold alcohol?

Thx.

according to the merck index (ninth edition, sorry it's the only one that i own) the humic acids are slightly soluble in water; soluble in alkali hydroxides and carbonates; also soluble in hot, concentrated nitric acid (with dark red color).
