bacterial stock preparation - (Sep/24/2009 )

most labs use 15-40 percent glycerol medium for bacterial stock preparation in -70 degree but is there any protocol for stock preparation in
-20 degree? how long are bacteria stable in this condition?

I would definitely use a -70 to -80 freezer. I think survival is prolonged a great deal.
