Nonradiactive labelling of probes - (Sep/14/2009 )

Hi
I need help to find a good (and cheap) labelling kit or method for labelling DNA-probes with a non radioactive label. The probe will be used both for screening colony blots as well as probe in hybridisation to Southern blots. I´m working at at lab with no equipment for film development, so I guess it must be a detection system based on colour development on the filter?
Kit name/producer or reference to method will be highly appreciated.
Any suggestions ?

Digoxigenin (DIG) and Biotin-labeling comes to my mind. Google them, don't know if they are fitting to your further protocols...
