Multiplex PCR - (Sep/08/2009 )

Hi, I intend to carry out a multiplex PCR protocol from a journal and they indicated the use of 0.01% gelatin and 6% sucrose. I would like to know what are these chemicals' purposes/functions in the PCR reaction. Thank you!

I had done multiplex PCR before but never before I use anything that you mentioned. Can you explain further and maybe tell us about the journal you are referring to?
