Does your institution have an industrial hygienist or chemical safety officer?  Even if you're the first pregnancy they've ever had in the lab (which I find unlikely), it is quite literally their job to advise you on the precautions you should be taking.  Looking at MSDS's on your own is also a good step, but I'd encourage you to consult with them as well.

Screws made from titanium would be compatible with MRI (titanium is a nonferrous metal, so doesn't affect MRI).  You would obviously, however, have to be extremely careful not to damage the brain in the process.

Actually, you can easily set up a web bookmark as a home screen icon in Android.

1. Bookmark Bioforum in your browser of choice
2. Long-press your home screen until the 'Add to home screen' dialog comes up
3. Select 'Shortcuts'
4. Select 'Bookmark' for the browser you want to launch
5. Select the Bioforum bookmark from the dialog

The exact steps may differ depending on what version of Android you're using/any custom launcher, but generally it should work fine.

I think you're going to find it very difficult to get complete separation of fragments that close in size.

Assuming this is a restriction enzyme digest, an easier solution would be to add another enzyme to cut the fragment you don't need into two smaller fragments, so you can more easily separate them from your band of interest.
