Hi there,
I plan to stain red blood cells and visualize them under the confocal microscope. For "normal" membrane staining in our lab we use DiD or DiO stains, however, they both seem not to work with RBC. I suppose that the RBC may undergo hemolysis during staining, but I am not sure. Also, the literature on that topic is really rare to my knowledge....
Does somebody have experience with staining red blood cells for confocal microscopy? I appreciate your valuable answers!
