#150219 acceptable melt curve?

Posted joy123 on 12 February 2013 - 07:36 AM

Hi I am doing qPCR. I wonder if you could help me judge if these melt cuve are good enough? I don't understand why there is a shoulder at ~74C and 70C. Is this set of primer specific enough for qPCR?

Thanks a lot!

#124740 making recombinant protein

Posted joy123 on 02 December 2011 - 12:43 PM

I need to make a recombinant protein. The gene encoding this protein are supposed come from two sequences of a gene, one is in the N-term (~60bp), and the other is in C-term (~3000bp).

I have the sequence of the two fragments, and I have genomic DNA as the template.

But I don't know how I can make the recombinant protein.

Would you please help me, let me know the methods, or if there are references?

Thanks a lot!
