About me

• My research interests
  Cell culture, microbial pathogenesis, veterinary medicine, and food safety. I am a graduate student finishing up my Masters and will then move on the Veterinary or Medical school. Currently I am working on constructing an in-vitro co-culture model of the blood brain barrier to test the invasiveness of selected Cronobacter spp (formerly Enterobacter sakazakii) isolates. Cronobacter spp is a pathogen found in powdered infant formula and has been linked to cases of infant meningitis.
