well, for the most part of this week, it would be like this....some rains perhaps tomorrow and then warm and sunny weather on St Paddy's Day...by next week- another deepfreeze...don't you envy us?

ppfftt...who could ever be? it was non-stop freezing rain.....but still we came out of that experience "wiser"...you guys otoh, a little snow and the cities and airports get 'frozen'....
and now time to enjoy our summery weather..you have a good night's rest my darling meanie as ever old dude...sleep tight...

well it's stupid to have all electricity cables above the earth on overhead lines

well, according to the geniuses who did the cost analysis, it's extremely expensive to dig and bury, they have to insulate the cables and they're more costly to upgrade or to fix...so they figured that facing off one or two humongous ice storms (and blackouts) would still be cheaper...ppfftt...
