Forum

Is this forum slowly dying ? sad.png There seems to be very little activity....

As I was just looking at some old threads and browsing the pages, seeing all those names and things we wrote and all that....I got a bit emotional for a moment. The time when I was active here seems an eternity ago, almost like a different life that is now gone forever. My life has changed so much since then but coming to this page rips all the wounds of that particular time in my life open again. You think it is over, and then you find all these posts conserved like in a time capsule and suddenly you feel these sad, lonely evenings and nights in that lab again. And after all these years, my thesis is still not submitted.

Il dort. Quoique le sort fût pour lui bien étrange,
Il vivait. Il mourut quand il n'eut plus son ange;
La chose simplement d'elle-même arriva,
Comme la nuit se fait lorsque le jour s'en va.

Quorum

Hey Tabs,

Good to see you back here...

I can totally understand what you feel. I was quite regular here, once upon a time as well but then you get a little busy, a little distracted and stop visiting...

but coming back is always a good thing.... you can refresh memories (good and bad) and probably, the bad ones, because once you are through and achieve your goals, you can look back at what you have gone through and stuck on and be proud of your achievements....

quod erat demonstrandum

yes it's a bad situation somehow...for me a reason not to come too often here anymore...too many memories...and Mlle C is missing a lot sad.png

anyway it lives only when sufficient people come back sufficiently often, but it seems that most dudes here give up when they finished their phd and got a lot of help but surprisingly have no time to help others then...WTF?

let's try to be optimistic..perhaps it's just a phase and it might change wink.png

good luck with the thesis tabs and don't give up tongue.png

(Too lazy to google after a good meal)

Hey look Tabs, who's back.... Hey HobG,

You seem grumpy as always... with all the PhD people and the WTFs...  but that's what you are... grumpy and helpful...

I hope Tabs is stronger than ever to reach her (or its his) goals now...

which reminds me,,,, there is a strength finder test online.... has anybody tried it?
