hi, I prefer the spring here, summers are usually a bit too hot and humid and finally the vegetation looks like in the Mediterranean area, sufficient "bad" weather prevents this...wink.png

Hi everyone, we're literally talking a lot about the weather in this thread biggrin.png

BTW, hobglobin, a question for you: I browsed the threads on literature management and read that you use Mendeley. Are you happy with it ?

Because I'm currently looking for something to organise paper piles/pdf collections which have over the years gotten very messy, we have EndNote here but I don't really like it so I thought about using EndNote for citiing only and some other program (Mendeley; or Readcube which admittedly looks very stylish but I'm not sure about its performance, it was quite slow when I started it). Both allow drag and drop pdf, which was my minimum requirement....

Il vivait. Il mourut quand il n'eut plus son ange;
La chose simplement d'elle-même arriva,
Comme la nuit se fait lorsque le jour s'en va.

hi people, yes weather is the most harmless topic and Mlle C's always worth a tease laugh.png

and well mendeley is quite okay, though IMO the detection rate of metadata or from online sources from titles is not that good...it seems to have more a focus on other scientific fields than I have...you should also check zotero (also as standalone available). And mendeley is now owned by Elsevier, this might for some also a problem (and you never know how long it will be still free)...

I guess there's still no perfect software for this and you should check which you like and what demands you have and if the software meets them (wikipedia's comparison is a starting point)
