Is it possible to stop an ELISA (HRP used as enzyme, OPD/H2O2 as the substrate) with concentrated HCL? I see many protocols calling for stopping with H2SO4, will there be any difference in OD values since both HCL and H2SO4 will make the solution very acidic?

Thanks!

Yes you can, I've used both in different elisa's en didn't notice a difference.
Don't use concentrated HCl but 1 or 2 M HCL
