we've been using 4M guanidine thiocyanate to lyse cells (whole blood) for dna extraction. what is the best way to precipitate proteins from this lysis solution without using phenol/chloroform?

thanks in advance!

Salt 'em out: add 10 M Na Acetate to final concentration of 2 M.
