I came across researcherid.com, run by Thomson group. I surfed through the website but there is not much unless you register and they expect you to register with your real name.
I wonder if anybody has registered with this site? If so, would like to know good and bad things of registering with them and using that resource, apart from what they have already mentioned on their website.
Thanks in advance.
researcherid.com useful?

offcourse you need to register under your real name, it would be very stupid if you registered under a false name... no point in joining a website like that.
Its all about finding a certain scientist not some goofball with a fake name.
It can be a good website to find good contacts and keep those contacts "alive".

I have already taken into account what you have stated in your post but if you read my question carefully, I am asking those who are part of that community, what they liked and what they didn't.

I have an account there, but I hardly ever use it.
Its not bad , but there arent enough members yet for it to be good. Its a very passive website at the moment.
