Hi all,
Anybody here knows the gel staining GelRed from Biotum?
Is it a good alternative to Ethidium Bromide?
Thank you,

Hi,
I have used GelRed and I found that the gels are much clearer and cleaner compared to Etbr. Also the bands are much sharper. Not sure if it was due to the sample or the stain.

Does gelred goes well with the downstream DNA cloning, ligation, restriction digestion?
Someone told me that EB is more friendly with the downstream DNA manipulation, I hope he was wrong
