Hi guys,

I'm currently using methanol to store invertebrate embryos at -20C.
I would prefer to switch to something less toxic. Has anyone used anything else successfully?

Thanks.

Methanol is "toxic" if you drink it - so is ethanol if you drink enough.  Most of the stuff in labs has a risk and methanol's is easily managed - why are you so worried?
