Hi,
I'm working on a potential tumor suppressor gene which is located on chromosme frequently deleted. Now I'm confused about teh definition of LOH. Are my possible hypothesis correct?
1) Since this chromosome is usually deleted so could this help explain LOH and also reduced expression of my gene of interest?
Basically, is there any relationship between LOH and tumor suppressor genes? Since my gene shows reduced expression in my panel of cancer cell lines, could this also mean that one of teh normal allele is deleted and the other allele shows reduced expression?
