hej

maybe someone can help me out:

i performed a quantitative real time pcr with an icycler from biorad.
i end up with following data sheet:

example:

Standard Curve Spreadsheet Data for SYBR-490 Units: copy number

Type Identifier Rep Ct LogSQ SQ SQMean SQSD CtMean Ct SD Set Point

A02 Unknown 8 24.55 (0.715) 1.93E-01 2.82E-01 1.26E-01 23.56 1.39E+00

i know what the ct value is but what is this SQ value and how is it calculated???
thanks

I'm just guessing, but SQ value could be "squared value", and might be an R-square value showing goodness of fit, or it could be some measure of "Starting Quantity"? What are the units and the magnitude of the numbers?

as mentioned above: units = copy number

can this value be used for further calculations or for design of diagramms ?

maybe "standard quantity".
the easiest way would be to ask your bio-rad representative?!?

I am not 100% sure, but SQ very likely stands for "starting quantity", as in how much RNA was present at the beginning of the reaction.
