Hi,
Is there anybody who is measuring H3/H4 acetylation level globally?
How it should be done. i understand, one is CHIP followed by array, but that is too costly for us now.
I found one article where they used a kit from Epigentek.
But i am not sure how efficient is this kit.
Can anybody give me more info on this or on other techniques?

Thanks,

A general approach is to acid extract histones from your cells of interest (+/- treatment) then run on SDS-PAGE and western blot with acetyl antibody of interest

I just realized your thread probably meant genome-wide levels not just overall levels of specific acetyl mark. get back to you if i come across anything
