Hi! I'm extracting DNA from rat tissue.
All tissue except brain are easily disrupted with 1% SDS or 20% Tween-20. But brain is hardly lysed with them.
Is there anybody to talk to me the difference between brain and other tissues. (for tissue lysis)
Thanks in advance for any kind of recommend or advice.
Tissue lysis.

I am having a similar problem.
I am using the Sigma GenElute kit to extract DNA from brain tissue but the tissue doesn't digests fully and I am left with white bits of undigested tissue which clogs the silica tubes.
I am wondering if there are any tips to help this out?
