hi all

i want to know,is tris buffer pH-7.4 good for making brain homogenate ?

it depends on what you are looking to isolate.

the pH and buffer are okay but you might need to add some: salt, protease inhibitors, phosphatase inhibitors, chelators and/or cations (mg, ca, mn...), non-ionic detergent (triton, nonidet, np-40, etc) or ionic detergent (sds).
