Sorry if this is a lame question.  I've completed many PCR reactions for my samples.  Is it possible to use left over elutions from my RNA extraction for a northern blot?  I noticed that RNA isolation in many of the northern blot protocols is completely different than what i did to isolate RNA to make cDNA.  I performed the RNA isolation using the standard kit from Qiagen.

No you cannot do that. After elution, the leftover is very little. Why don't use the isolated RNA for converting to cDNA and for Northern. Nothing prevents you from using Qiagen kit isolated RNA to do Northern.
