Hi everyone
Does anybody have the experience in preparing folic acid solution for the cell culture
I purchased the powder from Sigma and according to their instructions, the powder should be dissolved in 1M NaOH
Although the final dilution is 1:50,000 in tissue culture medium, it still seems risky to me to add such a basic solution to the medium
I'll appreciate any help
Thanks a lot
Michael

Media are buffered, adding one part in 50,000 should not drastically change the pH even if it was 10 M NaOH.

Thank You very much
Indeed, I've added one part in 50,000 to the medium and no pH change was observed.
Best Regards
Michael
