Hi,

My lab has a very old amino acid (5mM in water) mixture stored at -20 deg. C for cell culturing that was made almost 20 years ago. I was wondering if we could use this. I know that glutamine is unstable, so I will be supplementing that, but I don't know for other amino acids. Please help!!

Standard lab rule: if you doubt, throw it out.

If you use it, and you see a result in your experiments, how do you know that the result isn't due to the old reagents?
