Hi everyone!!

Can anyone help me with this doubts.....

1) how DMSO works in cell freezing? what about Glicerol?

2) increasing or lowing FBS drastically can be damaged to the cells? for exemple cells used to grow in 10% FBS and then i replace with a media 25% FBS.

3)what is the best way of thaw FBS? i have seen in the botton of Falcon tube, something like "gelatin"..... protein precipitation???

I suggest you go and read "Culture of Animal Cells: a manual of basic technique" by R.I. Freshney.  It will answer all your questions.  You should be able to get it from any university library.
