We tried this equipment in our Lab when we were looking for tissue homogenizers for DNA extraction. We finally chose Precellys24, which was more convenient and gave better results. Moreover it has a cooling option to keep temperature at approx. 4°C during homogenization, which was required in some of our protocols.

That's a shame.  You could have simply placed a Bullet Blender in a 4*C room and saved yourself over $8000.

Can you explain how it was more convenient?

Well I’m working for a biotechnology start-up and our project is based on a thermo-sensible protein. Due to the high sensibility of our material we really need to cool down the protein during the mechanical process and not only the installation. That is the reason why the extraction results were much better with Precellys. Anyway, we don’t own any 4°C room, so buying one would have been much more expensive!
