What is the required strength of the protein interaction for co IP ? What are the lower and upper limits that can be detected using this technique ?
Thanks

There isn't one per se. If the proteins in question do interact, the limits of this technique depend most upon the sensitivity and specificity of the antibodies being used, both for the immunoprecipitation and for the Western. Weaker or transient interactions can still be detected via coIP using a mild crosslinking reagent such as DTBP prior to the IP.
Science is simply common sense at its best that is rigidly accurate in observation and merciless to fallacy in logic.
