The cation adjusted medium has an adjusted level of cations (calcium and magnesium).
I have never worked with it, but I do remember from someone who did work with it that the level of unbound cations do interfer with your tests. It can have an influence on your results when testing for certain Bacteriostatic agents.
The not adjusted is medium is not supplemented with calcium or magnesium ions.
I do have 2 researchpapers on the subject at home that I could send to you if you are interested.
If you don't know it, then ask it! Better to ask and look foolish to some then not ask and stay stupid.
