Hi, I'm new in this forum and I would submit a question about serum starvation. I have to do copper transport measurements in a cell model after removing surface prion protein through PI PLC treatment. My cells suffer a lot from serum deprivation, so I decided to do enzyme treatment (3 hours) in serum-containing medium. Does anyone know if serum can compromise surface protein detachment? Western blot verification requires a too expensive antibody, that I'm going to purchase, but not immediately......Thanks a lot for your reply!!!!
