Hi all,
Ive heard great stuff from the new GenCarrier transfection reagent, so I got a free sample to test it on my HUVEC cells. Ive gotten almost no toxicity, which is great, but I get absolutely no GFP transfection. Ive tried the recommended DNA/reagent combinations, use serum free and antibiotic free medium, no PBS. Ive left the transfection mixture as long as 16 hours and I still dont see anything. Is there anybody who has successfully transfected these cells with GenCarrier that can give me a detailed protocol? Id really appreciate it.
Thanks!

Try lipofactamine 2000. Its toxic but at least works.

Thanks, genehunter, Ive tried it and it does work, but I really need a less toxic reagent!
